Economics as an Inexact and Separate Science

Over at Understanding Society, Daniel Little provides a good summary of Dan Hausman’s The Inexact and Separate Science of Economics. I studied under Hausman at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and his work has had a tremendous impact on my own thinking (particularly ISSE and Economic Analysis, Moral Philosophy and Public Policy, written with Michael McPherson).
